MindSpace is our intercollegiate event to encourage intellectual abilities and application skills of students of IT & Management.
Inauguration function was conducted in presence of Chief Guest, Dr. M.A. Khan ,Registrar, University of Mumbai, Secretary (ASM group)Dr. Asha Pachpande, IT Key note speaker Mr. Sharad Jambukar, Management Key note speaker Dr.Satvinder Madhok.
Students of BMS, MMS, MCA and Part time courses participated in case study competition .Around 20 teams participated in the competition. From each stream-winner and runner-up awarded trophy, cash prize and certificates. All participants were awarded with certificates.

Intra College Case Study Presentation Competition @Mindspace
Event: INTERNATIONAL SEMINAR IN MANAGEMENT & I.T. INSEMIT
IMCOST organized a two day International Conference titled ‘INSEMIT – 2016’ on the theme “Current trends in Management & IT”. A melting pot of ideas on management and technology in the form of research papers from MMS and MCA aspirants and professionals.

Fresh batch of Management students was welcomed by seniors. Chief Guest Mr.Lawande enlightened students by sharing his views related to achieving goals in academics and professional lives.

One day Faculty Development Programme (FDP) was organized by Institute on 13th October 2016 in presence of all faculty members of both IT and Management Department.
The Programme aims at enhancing the academic and intellectual environment in the Institutions by providing faculty members with enough information to utilize innovative techniques in teaching learning process in adult pedagogy.
Event: ISR Activities by IMCOSTIANS
1. Social Bonding with Rajasthani Merasi Group.
Date: 25th June
Goup of Merasi Community from Rajasthan visited IMCOST for interaction with Students and Faculty. Students contributed for donation to be given as a social case. Merasi group performed some cultural activities at IMCOST auditorium.
2. “GIVE THE GIFT OF LIFE” – Blood Donation Drive
Day & Date: Friday, 12th August
The International Youth Day was celebrated by organizing blood donation camp by inviting J.J. Hospital blood bank so as to help needy people by donating blood.
Blood donation camp was inaugurated by Honorable Mr. Ravindra Phatak.
66 members from IMCOST Staff and Students donated blood.
3. ORPHANAGE VISIT
Date: 30th October
IMCOST Faculty and students visited NGO – Corp Hostel for Orphan boys and girls. 55 kids staying at the NGO were given sweets, toys and some other gifts as a part of Diwali celebration.
Kids were taken or a fun Car Drive to Upvan Thane where games were conducted to entertain them.
International Yoga Day – 21st June
As a part of worldwide International Yoga day, IMCOST organized this day in its campus as Yoga Day. The activity included demonstration of various asanas and techniques of body care generating health consciousness among students. Team from Ambika Yoga Ashram leaded by Mr.Vinayak Desai had graced the occasion by their presence and guidance.
NATIONAL SPORTS DAY – TABLE TENNIS TOURNAMENT
Date: 29th August
National Sports Day was celebrated at IMCOST by conducting Table Tennis Tournament at the Indoor Gymkhana Rooms, 2nd Flr.
Students from all courses whole heartedly participated and winners were given prizes. Certificates were distributed to winners, runner-up and all participants. Winners also were given a trophy.
The event generated awareness of significance of Sports in life among students.
National Tree Plantation Day by Nature’s Club IMCOST
Date: 1st July
Different shrubs and plants were planted in IMCOST campus by the students of BMS, MMS and MCA course on occasion of National Tree Plantation Day.
As a part of generating awareness about Nature and its conservation the activity was undertaken with full enthusiasm.
Cultural Event- GARBA
Date: 10th October,
As a part of Cultural and traditional activity, on the occasion of Navratri, IMCOSTians celebrated by organizing Garba Dance.
Winners for Best costumes and Best Dance were given prizes to encourage students.
The event was highlighted by harmony in students, Faculty and Non Teaching staff at IMCOST.
Entrepreneurial skill building – FOODFEST
Date: 10th October
To boost the entrepreneurial skills of IMCOST students Food-Fest was organized.
Students were asked to form teams to brainstorm for innovative and creative ideas of cooking and selling novelty dishes. Students and Faculty participated with great enthusiasm and there was lot of learning by students through this activity. Prizes were given to Best stalls based on various parameters like Marketing Skills, Idea, Presentation, Hygiene and Profitability.
International Interface – Mexican Student Visit
Students from CETYS University Mexico along with a team of their Faculty visited IMCOST and had interaction with Students and Faculty. They were welcomed by IMCOSTians with zeal. Cultural performances were organized where students from both countries displayed their talent.
Later on there was a discussion between Faculty from both ends to know different teaching methodologies being used.
INTRA COLLEGIATE- DRAMA COMPETITION
Date: 6th August
To groom personalities of students by encouraging talent in them IMCOST had organized an Intra-Collegiate Drama Competition.
To judge the event Mr.Rajesh Rane was invited and winning teams were given prizes. Participants received guidance from his end related to polishing their skills in area of acting and voice modulation.
Marathi Bhasha Diwas & Entrepreneurial Exhibition

To boost the significance of our “Rajya-Bhasha” i.e. Marathi and to generate interest in students related to Marathi Literature the Marathi Bhasha Diwas was celebrated. Chief Guest dr. Vijaya wad enlightened the students by her speech that highlighted significance of value system in our life through her lucid language and experience sharing. Students participated in Ihe skill building activity of model making to learn entrepreneurial abilities.
Teacher’s Day Celebration by IMCOST Students

As a part of Indian tradition of respecting Teachers, students of IMCOST celebrated the day on a grand basis. Variety of cultural performances were organized by students to entertain the faculty members.
Winners of earlier competitions at IMCOST were awarded trophies and certificates.
BUILDING COMMUNICATION SKILLS (DEBATE) & OUTDOOR ACTIVITY FOR TEAM BUILDING

As a part of student grooming and enhancing the employability skills of students the Placement Cell of IMCOST had conducted a Debate and Team Building activity for the BMS students.
SAKSHAM – Women Empowerment @ IMCOST

A forum named “Saksham” was formed at IMCOST and inaugurated by Dr.Rekha Mahadeshwar, Member of WDC of Mumbai University.
The objective of the forum is to empower Girl Students and Faculty at IMCOST.
Chief Guest Dr.Rekha highlighted the importance of women empowerment in Indian society.
